Number of Awards: Approximately 5
Category: Lecturing/Research or Research
Grant Activity: Conduct research in any discipline of the humanities, social sciences or pure and applied sciences and collaborate with colleagues at French research centers and institutes of higher education. Participants are highly encouraged to participate in conferences and workshops as well as conduct seminars in order to share their research experience with the host institution.
Language: French language ability commensurate with the requirements of the project.
Location(s): Applicants are expected to arrange affiliation and solicit an invitation from a prospective host institution.
Length of Grant: 3 months to 6 months
Starting Date: Between September 2014 and June 2015
Comments: Applications are welcome from recent Ph.Ds as well as from more well established scholars. The Franco-American Commission also encourages applicants from the private sector.
ALL DISCIPLINES - MULTIDISCIPLINARY STUDIES
Number of Awards: One
Category: Lecturing/Research or Research
Grant Activity: Conduct research in at least two different fields. The Franco-American Commission welcomes original and creative research projects.
Specialization: Non-university graduates will be considered provided they have and can document the necessary qualifications for carrying out the proposed project.
Language: French language ability commensurate with the requirements of the project.

Length of Grant: 3 months to 6 months
Starting Date: Between September 2014 and June 2015
Comments: Applications are welcome from recent PhD's as well as from more established scholars. The Franco-American Commission also encourages applicants from the private sector. Applicants are expected to arrange affiliation and solicit an invitation from at least two different prospective host institutions, from at least two different departments in the same institution, or from a pôle de recherche et d'enseignement supérieur (PRES), which is a multidisciplinary consortium of universities and research institutions.
