Paris Seine University was established in 2015 to facilitate cooperation and collaboration among its 15 member institutions on degree programs, student life, research, international strategy, and partnerships. Paris Seine University aims to be identified among the dozens of French academic institutions for its capacity to become a world-class university, recognized for the quality of its research focusing on fields of excellence, and also recognized for the quality of its education and its integration in the socio-economic fabric. This University includes the Cergy-Pontoise University, ESSEC Business School, engineering schools,  and schools of art and architecture. Its research laboratories cover a wide range of fields, from bioengineering to information technology, arts and heritage, education, law, mathematics, cosmetics, and sports healthcare. Paris Seine University collectively has a student body of 37,000 with 2,700 teaching and research staff located along the suburbs to the west of Paris.

Paris Seine University was also labeled an I-SITE (Initiative Science-Innovation-Territory-Economy) by an international jury in the framework of the PIA program (the French government's "Investments for the Future" program).

Its projects focus on three main objectives:

  • An international research university, positioned as a leading international player in the field of Social Sciences, Management and Modelling. This selective university will offer Masters and Ph.D level programs.
  • An Undergraduate College, with the social mission of student success within the region. This college will offer diversified, flexible bachelor-level programs.
  • An international campus that will embody the renewed academic environment, articulated around an urban center and the surrounding natural territory, enabling a reappropriation of the banks of the river Oise and the big lakes of Cergy

Conduct research or a combination of teaching and research, and collaborate with colleagues at a research center at any of these four member institutions at Paris Seine University: University of Cergy-Pontoise, ESSEC Business School, EISTI-L'Ecole Internationale des Sciences du Traitement de l'Information , and ENSA-Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Électronique et des ses Applications

We expect applicants to arrange an affiliation and to solicit an invitation from a prospective host institution.
