Fulbright FLTA Mid-Year Conference in Washington (November 16-20)
Some photos of our French FLTA grantees present at the Fulbright FLTA Mid-Year Conference in Washington (November 16-20) sponsored by U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and administered by the IIE !
The conference aimed to enhance their experience in the US as teachers, students, and their teaching methodology and providing them with supplementary classroom techniques and professional skills for the semester ahead and upon their return home.
The Fulbright FLTA Program began in 1968 with a small group of teachers primarily from France. Since then, the Program has grown to include teaching assistants from all over the world. There are currently 374 Fulbright FLTAs from 51 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, teaching 35 different languages at 169 colleges and universities in the United States.
