Introducing our 10 Fulbright France 2024/2025 Ambassadors (5 French and 5 American)!
Following the call for applications launched in March 2024 to our grantees and Alumni, we have selected Ambassadors considering the following criteria: parity, geographical distribution, or different fields of research.
For this year (May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025), our 10 Fulbright France Ambassadors’ missions will be to communicate about our binational grant program and events on their social media; organize small events; participate in our webinars or events; answer questions from people wishing to apply to our programs; represent our values of diversity and inclusion.

Léa KERYELL-COCHEN is a 2017/2018 Alumna of the FLTA program (Foreign Language Teaching Assistant).
She was studying Anglophone studies at Université de Bretagne Occidentale and specialized in teaching French as a Foreign Language.
Since her Fulbright experience, Léa has now become Coordinator at the International Relations Service of the University of Nantes.
Yousra KHERABI is a 2023/2024 Alumna of the Visiting Student Researcher Award from Université Paris-Cité specialized in Medical Sciences.
She was hosted by the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (Maryland) to propose novel clinical trial definitions to improve speed and efficiency of trials in tuberculosis.
After returning to France, Yousra will be Head of the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases at Bichat Claude Bernard Hospital in Paris.
Joy PASQUET is a 2017/2018 Alumna of the Degree-seeking Student Award studying at Mines ParisTech.
She studied for a Master in City Planning at University of California, Berkeley, and graduated from an MSc in Science and Executive Engineering.
Since then, Joy has become Senior On-Road Policy Manager at Amazon logistics.
Jérémy LEMARIÉ is a 2022/2023 Alumnus of the Visiting Scholar Award from Université Reims Champagne-Ardenne specialized in cultural anthropology.
He was hosted by the University of Hawaii at Manoa for a project on regenerative tourism in Hawaii and finding solutions to the problem of mass tourism.
Jérémy is Associate Professor at Université Reims Champagne-Ardenne specialized in sport management and researcher at the Performance, Health, Metrology, and Society Laboratory.
Pr. Ange NZIHOU is a 2020/2021 Alumnus of the Visiting Scholar Award from IMT Mines Albi specialized in chemical engineering.
He was hosted by Princeton University for his work on innovative research aimed at decarbonizing heavy industry. His project was entitled Matériaux à propriétés contrôlées innovants à haut taux de graphène à partir de bioressources.
Prof. Ange Nzihou was recently awarded the ERC Advanced Grant from the European Council for Research. He currently continues his research at Princeton University.
Mia Cheung is a 2023/2024 Alumna of the English Teaching Assistant Program from the University of Pennsylvania.
She taught English at Lycée Robert Doisneau in Vaux-en-Velin near Lyon.
In September 2024, she will be an English instructor at the University of Strasbourg.
Freddy Cisneros is a 2020/2021 Alumnus of the Advanced Student program from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor specialized in Physics.
He was hosted by Sorbonne Université-CNRS for a project entitled Controlling, Rationalizing, and Exploring Active Matter.
Freddy currently is a graduate student at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Steven Girardot is a 2022/2023 Alumnus of the Fulbright International Education Administrators program
He was occupying the position of Vice-Provost for undergraduate education at Georgia Institute of Technology.
He still is Vice-Provost for undergraduate education at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Jie Qiao is a 2022/2023 Alumna of the Fulbright-Nouvelle Aquitaine Research Scholar program from Rochester Institute of Technology (New York) specialized in Physics.
She was hosted by Université de Bordeaux for a project entitled Gigahertz-Burst Ultrafast Laser Material Processing to Achieve Efficient Ablation.
Jie still is Associate Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology and leads the Advanced Optical Fabrication, Instrumentation & Metrology Laboratory.
Byron P. McCrae is a 2019/2020 Alumnus of the Fulbright International Education Administrators program
He was occupying the position of Vice President for the Division of Student Life at Davidson College (North Carolina).
He still is Vice President for the Division of Student Life at Davidson College.
