Congratulations to Mr. Julien Tierny, French Fulbright France alumnus 2008/09, winner of the IMT-Académie des sciences 2023‘ ”Hope Award”!
Researcher at Sorbonne University's LIP6 laboratory, Julien Tierny explores data analysis and visualization using topological methods, a discipline straddling computer science and applied mathematics.
Using specific algorithms, he studies the structure and topology of massive, complex data, supplied in large part by industrial companies with a wide range of activities.
M. Tierny received a grant from our Fulbright France / Nord-Pas-de-Calais Region program in 2008 as a researcher at the University of Utah.
His research is supported by an ERC (European Research Council) project; well done Julien!
