Brain Awareness Week - Video "An inclusive world" from the #MyBrainRobbie project by Pr. Eléonore Bayen (French Fulbright-Monahan Alumna 2016/17)
During this Brain Awareness Week, take a quick look at the new video from the #MyBrainRobbie project by Pr. Eléonore Bayen (French Fulbright-Monahan Alumna 2016/17 - Sorbonne Université / University of California, San Francisco, Memory and Aging Center) entitled "An inclusive world"!
In this 8-minute video, a character named Robbie, representing a small brain, guides children through the visible and invisible aspects of disability, while highlighting ways to foster inclusion for all.
MyBrainRobbie, an avant-garde educational project initiated in 2019 and awarded by the French National Academy of Medicine, was born during Eléonore's mobility in the USA via the Fulbright-Monahan grant and was then supported by the Global Brain Health Institute (UC San Francisco & Trinity College Dublin).
Eléonore had produced a first video in 2018 called "A healthy brain!" supported by the American Alzheimer's Association and the Global Brain Health Institute. These 2 MyBrainRobbie programs were created in collaboration between Sorbonne University, the University of California, San Francisco and Trinity College Dublin.
The "Brain health: An inclusive world" project, led by Eléonore Bayen, head of the physical medicine and rehabilitation department at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, has been rolling out since January 2024 in public schools in the Île-de-France region, reaching 10,000 children a year.
Congrats Pr. Eléonore Bayen!
