Melanie Ambler, a 2019-2020 American Fulbright grantee, has launched a website entitled "Une Petite Pause musicale". It will allow her to organize online meetings with people in hospitals or care homes in France, in which she will be playing the cello. The project's main goal is to bring optimism and happiness to people who might be lonely this summer, especially after a long confinement period.

Ambler received the Rosalind Swenson Fulbright Enrichment Award to carry out her project. She is both a neuroscientist and a concert cellist. While in France, she performed a research project regarding the ability of patients with clinical amnesia to recognize new music or paintings. She also took coursework for a Master’s in Behavioral Neuroscience at the Université de Caen-Normandie.
