J. Fowler, Ambassador Jamie McCourt, Fulbright alumna Marie Oppert
Happy Independence Day! We are very proud that Fulbright alumna Marie Oppert was invited by US Ambassador Jamie McCourt to sing the Marseillaise at the US Embassy reception next to Petty Officer Jarrod Fowler US Navy who sang the US National Anthem!
Marie Oppert got her Fulbright award in 2017-2018 to study singing and playing in musicals. The youngest Fulbrighter ever in the French program, she was chosen, upon her return from the United States, to play the main role in Peau d'Ane at the Théâtre Marigny for its reopening. Marie also proposed a very lively Franco-american musical program for the 70th anniversary of the Fulbright Commission in November 2018.
