The Fulbright program in France is particularly proud to share the news that Kip S. Thorne was just awarded this October 3, the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics. He shares the Prize with Rainer Weiss & Barry Barish for their decisive contribution to the observation of the gravitational waves.
