The Franco-American Fulbright Commission is excited to present its 70th cohort of United States Grantees. This class consists of 64 English Teaching Assistants, researchers, PhD and Master Candidates, and professors. Our scholars study in disciplinary fields ranging from Virology to African History and covering everything between Comparative Literature, Urban Planning, Political Science, and Environmental Engineering. They also represent institutions from 28 states including California, North Carolina, Oregon, and New York.
Grantees will spend from 2 weeks to 2 years with schools in varying parts of France to engage in their diverse projects. Some examples of Fulbright Grantee Projects include targeting “fundamental, interrelated processes that impact the behavior of volcanic plumes and particle-laden flows”, improving a “dancer’s athletic ability and decrease the likelihood of injury through a dance specific conditioning program”, and “Understanding how this evolutionary process influences the adaptation of viruses to new hosts”. While researchers and students investigate their projects in labs and universities, our ETAs work in Priority Education high schools, teaching deserving students in under resourced environments.
