"Fulbright France, 75 years of history" video

2023 has been a busy year. Our Franco-American Commission organized several events to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Fulbright France: at the French Embassy in Washington in May, at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs - Quai d'Orsay in September and, finally, at the Residence of the US Ambassador in Paris in November.

We also organized in 2023 a series of 8 online and physical conferences (see images: 7th conference at the Maison de la Radio): these "cafés scientifiques", attended by Fulbright France alumni and experts from various fields, focused on the theme of "media literacy".

In 2023, our Franco-American Commission also launched a podcast: "Rencontrez nos Fulbrighters" ("Meet our Fulbrighters"),  highlighting those who make the Fulbright France network; 8 episodes were released this year!

For the record, Fulbright France is a binational program led and funded by the U.S. and French governments, in partnership with regional, academic and private partners.

Since 1948, 21,244 recipients from both countries have benefited from our Fulbright France Program grants: 12,294 from France to the USA and 8,950 from the USA to France.

We are proud of the longevity of our program, which for 75 years has fostered educational and cultural exchanges between France and the United States, with the aim of sharing, promoting and advancing knowledge and skills, responding to the challenges facing our societies, establishing lasting ties between our two countries, and contributing to mutual understanding between peoples.
