The Franco-American Fulbright Commission is delighted to welcome the 2019-2020 Fulbright and Chateaubriand Grantees to France. Hosted by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs for their orientation meeting (see picture), they come from 25 different states in the U.S. and will be living in 10 different French regions. Their field of expertise is very diverse ranging from physics, energy engineering, biochemistry, molecular medicine, ecology to decolonial theory, theater and performance studies, photography, history and political science, not to mention anthropology, philosophy, and art history.

The Fulbright grantees are international education administrators, scholars, doctoral candidates, artists, degree-seeking students or English Teaching Assistants placed in French high schools. They are selected on the basis of their academic excellence, their interest in developing long lasting connections with France and their willingness to serve as cultural ambassadors for their country.
